3. LinkedIn

I think "connect to opportunity" says it all.

All social media platforms have benefit and it's wise to have a presence on many of the platforms. However many of the business decision makers are on LinkedIn for business to business services.

Here's the benefits of using LinkedIn:

  • the app makes it easier to discover, connect and nurture relationships with people that matter

  • get updates on topics and companies that make a difference all on the go.

  • this online social network is a great place to connect and stay in touch with your professional relationships.

  • use the LinkedIn app to job search while you’re on the go

  • LinkedIn makes it easy to expand and publish your knowledge. BRAND YOURSELF AS THE EXPERT in your industry!!

  • great search tools to narrow your business niche down (LinkedIn is keyword driven)

The LinkedIn app is free to use and download. Premium subscriptions offer exclusive tools to find a job, grow your business, find sales leads, or hire talent, priced from $29.99 monthly to $119.95 monthly.

Supportive Market Stats:

  • LinkedIN now has over 500 million members

  • 40% of monthly active users use LinkedIn daily. If that is the case, that’s over 100 million professionals you could be targeting every single day.

  • 61 million LinkedIn users are senior level influencers and 40 million are in decision-making mode

  • Microsoft saw $26.2 billion worth of potential in the platform, you might want to consider it.

  • Millennials are the decision-makers of the future (and present in many cases). Nurture those relationships. Of the 2 billion millennials globally, 87 million of them are on LinkedIn.

  • Collectively, LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter drive 90% of social traffic to B2B sites & blogs, with more than half of that traffic comes straight from LinkedIn. Facebook and Twitter may have more monthly active users, but LinkedIn clearly separates itself as the go-to for B2B content distribution.

  • When you’re creating a post for LinkedIn, use exactly 8 images. The reasoning is based on an analysis of 3000 LinkedIn Blog posts. Perhaps the LinkedIn algorithm favors posts with exactly 8 images the most, or maybe readers are just subconsciously more likely to share if they see 8 images. Either way, there's another reason to use the Over app above. INTEGRATE your tools!

Between the above 3 apps you should be able to find a more targeted audience for your business, grow your business and develop real relationships. People do business with people they know and trust. Authentic marketing.

My PRO TIP: put the apps you use most, clustered together on your phone. Create efficiencies & a beautiful brand! Oh, and it never hurts to add in a little kindness along the way. Send a card and nurture your relationships after you meet them. You'll stand out among the noise. People buy relationships, stories & magic.

I hope this article helps you as much as these apps help me and my clients. Good luck and please reach out to me if you'd like any tips, creative content or brand strategies.
